The National Institutes of Health (NIH) Library in Bethesda, Maryland, seeks innovative, customer service oriented librarians with strong biomedical backgrounds to provide information management, reference, marketing, scholarly communication, instruction, consultant, and expert search services. These positions require individuals interested in leading the Library in exploring new technology that can be applied to servicing Library clients; embedding Library products and services seamlessly in the workflow of NIH staff; and developing an in-depth awareness of current and emerging issues associated with scholarly communication. These positions require a commitment to life long learning and attendance at courses offered by NIH and local universities to increase one's knowledge in appropriate areas. Tuition will be paid and time off from work will be given to attend classes. Salary range is $44,856 to $84,559 with promotion potential to a salary range of $77,353 to $100,554. The position will be open March 27, 2006 through April 25, 2006.
