PNAS projects and initiatives

*Of possible interest*

The 2006 PNAS Site License/Open Access Membership rates are now available
at http://www.pnas.org/subscriptions/.

We are pleased to present new and ongoing PNAS projects and
initiatives:

PNAS Open Access Option:

A PNAS institutional Site License includes an Open Access Membership at no
additional cost. PNAS offers an open access option whereby authors can
choose to pay a surcharge to make their articles free online immediately
upon publication. Corresponding authors from institutions that have a
Site License/Open Access Membership save 25% on the open access surcharge.
A PNAS Site License/Open Access Membership helps give researchers wider
distribution of their work and helps institutions support this important
open access initiative.

New Sustainability Science Section:

PNAS is launching a new section on Sustainability Science, a vibrant area
of fundamental research addressing questions at the interface of human
development and the natural environment. Sustainability Science brings
together scholarship and practice, global and local perspectives, and
disciplines across the natural and social sciences, engineering, and
medicine.

PNAS in the News:

Please visit the PNAS in the News web page at
http://www.pnas.org/misc/news.shtml for the latest news stories on PNAS
research and how it affects science and the public.

20,000 Pages of High-Impact Research:

PNAS is one of the most dynamic, diverse, and comprehensive scientific
research journals and will publish approximately 20,000 pages in 2006.
In addition, PNAS legacy content back to the inaugural 1915 issue is
available for free at http://www.pnas.org/contents-by-date.0.shtml.
