SAGE Publications Contributes Journals to Developing World Research
Initiative

INASP and SAGE team up to provide online access to hundreds of SAGE's
publications for research institutions in developing countries.

Thousand Oaks, CA and London, UK (September 1, 2005) - SAGE Publications
is delighted to announce the signing of an agreement with the
International Network for the Availability of Scientific Publications
(INASP) for 2006. Under the terms of the agreement, SAGE will provide
online access to more than 300 SAGE journals to research institutions in
66 of the world's less developed countries, either free of charge or for
greatly subsidized rates.

This agreement was arranged via the Programme for the Enhancement of
Research Information (PERI), an INASP initiative. This program supports
capacity building in the research sector of developing countries by
strengthening the production, access and dissemination of information and
knowledge.

For a full list of countries whose researchers will benefit from this
agreement with SAGE, see the INASP website at
http://www.inasp.info/peri/countries.shtml.

"The objectives of the PERI program fit closely with SAGE's core company
values, which aim to support the dissemination of teaching and research on
a global scale," commented Stephen Barr, Managing Director of SAGE UK.
"We are delighted to have been invited to participate in this important
program."
