Michigan have now posted an FAQ on their collaboration with Google at http://www.lib.umich.edu/staff/google/public/faq.pdf This has some useful details on the Michigan project and the deal with Google. New to me was the guidance they give to the file format and the quality of images in the Google scan. There is also a link to the contract which was posted earlier at: http://www.lib.umich.edu/mdp/um-google-cooperative-agreement.pdf Michigan are helping the community by being open about their agreement with Google, their progress and their aims. It is important that any far-reaching plans of this kind are given full exposure before everything is set in stone. Adam Adam Hodgkin
