ebrary Inks Deals with Top International Publishers

Oxford University Press, Brill Academic Publishers, Manchester University
Press, SAGE Publications, and Artech House to distribute online books to
libraries worldwide via the ebrary Dynamic Content Platform (DCP)�
solution

information services and technology provider, today announced that it has
partnered with five new international publishers to make hundreds of
full-text books and other authoritative content available through its
Dynamic Content Platform (DCP), which combines patent-pending research
software with databases of authoritative content from leading publishers.  
The partnerships benefit libraries by providing an affordable way to
provide students with valuable content and unique technology that make the
research experience easier and more productive, while providing new
revenue streams for ebrary�s publishing partners.

More than 200 of the world�s leading academic, STM, and professional
publishers distribute content through ebrary under one or more of the
following licensing models:

1. Subscription -- Libraries may subscribe to databases of authoritative
content in multiple subject areas under a simultaneous, multi-user access
model.  ebrary offers Growing, Fixed, and Custom subscription databases.

2. Perpetual Access -- Libraries may create and own their own databases of
content under a simultaneous, multi-user or single-user access model.  
Unlike eBooks, no downloading or check-out period is required.

All ebrary products are delivered via the ebrary DCP, which features the
ebrary Reader� and InfoTools software.  The ebrary Reader optimizes
page-by-page delivery of PDF documents, eliminating cumbersome document
downloads and ensuring that any end user - regardless of bandwidth or
connectivity limitations - can use the ebrary system.  InfoTools provides
every ebrary document with word-level interaction.  Just by selecting a
word or phase of interest, students and patrons can instantly link to
other resources in the library, the DCP, or on the Web without losing
their place of reference.

students and the interested general reader. Currently publishing 120 new
titles a year, Manchester University Press serves the international
academic community and promotes outstanding works of learning and
scholarship that both reflect and enhance The University's authority and
reputation.

With such esteemed titles as Understanding US/UK Government and Politics:
A comparative Guide, Duncan Watts, 2003, and Munitions of the Mind: A
History of Propaganda, Philip M. Taylor, 2003, Manchester University Press
will greatly enhance ebrary's Academic Complete subscription database as
