The AAHSL (Association of Academic Health Science Libraries) Scholarly Communication Committee is looking into developing some kind of a "toolkit" that libraries can use in spreading the word on their campuses and helping researchers understand the issues and practicalities involved. NIH has sent out a letter explaining the policy to "ALL NIH Extramural Scientists and Institutions with Active NIH Support" (letter is dated February 3rd, it hit UAB on the 8th). The letter directs "submitting authors" to this website (http://nihms.nih.gov/) for additional information. Not much there yet. T. Is this something that researchers already know about? Will learn about from the NIH? From their publishers? From the campus Grants & Contracts Office? Or? Thank you, Ann Okerson
