Assistant Editor

Neurobiology of Lipids is seeking an Assistant Editor to join its
Editorial team. The minimum qualification for this no-monies educational
part-time remote position is an enrollment in a PhD Program (2+ year) in a
relevant area of biomedical research. This is a great opportunity for a
talented student to expand his/her interest and play a critical role in
the research community away from the bench/class.

As an assistant editor, you would be responsible for the selection of the
noteworthy articles published in other journals, oversee editing of
accepted manuscripts, preparing news stories and/or lay summaries, and
perform the subject news mining. The key qualities should be wide
scientific interest and the ability to think independently/critically
about current biomedical sciences and neuroscience theories. The
successful candidate should be able to work independently as well as in a
team.

The entire editoral communication will be electronic. The amount of work
will be flexibly arranged to avoid interference with your enrollment in a
Graduate Program at your University.

Applications will be held confidentially and will be considered on an
ongoing basis. To apply, please email a letter describing your background,
interests, and your thoughts (both good and bad) of the Neurobiology of
Lipids and present Open Access movement, along with your C.V., to Alexei
Koudinov, Editor, at postmaster@neurobiologyoflipids.org. Please, no
phone/air mail inquiries.
