Newspapers In The Digital Age Reference and User Services Association (RUSA) Machine Assisted Reference Service (MARS) Products and Services Discussion Forum Sunday January 16, 9:30-11:30 am, Marriott Copley Place Grand Ballroom C-D Join us at Midwinter in Boston for a dialogue on content issues and the future direction of online access to daily newspapers. Representatives from major online vendors and a daily newspaper will respond to questions and discuss the processes involved in creating online databases. The role of new scanning technology that allows libraries to offer patrons digital articles from microfilm collections will also be discussed. Discussion Panel includes: Rod Gauvin, Vice President of Marketing and Publishing for Proquest Information and Learning; Deborah Harmer, Vice President for Newsbank Media Service; John Cronin, the Librarian at the Boston Herald; Dawn Conway, Vice President of Content & Business Development for LexisNexis and Dan Donaldson, Director of Imaging Products at ST Imaging.
