** Apologies for Cross-Posting ** At the 2-day workshop on UK institutional OA self-archiving Open Access Institutional Repositories (OA IRs): Leadership, Direction and Launch Southampton University 25-26 January 2005 http://www.eprints.org/jan2005/ the keynote speaker (Day 2) will be Robert Campbell, President of Blackwell Publishing http://www.blackwellpublishing.com/static/board.asp#exec followed by Stephane Goldstein, policy and support manager of Research Councils UK (RCUK) http://www.stm-assoc.org/conferences/Goldstein.ppt and 8 other speakers reporting the dynamic developments in institutional self-archiving currently under way in the UK. (Day 1 will be a tutorial and showcase on successful UK OA archives and institutional self-archiving policies and procedures.) Bob is the author or co-author of three books on publishing and a range of some 50 articles and has an honorary doctorate from Oxford Brookes University. He has always been interested in new technology and copyright, which led to him being Chairman of the Adonis Consortium throughout the 1980s. He is Past Chairman of the STM Association and is currently Chairman of the Trustees of the International Network for the Availability of Scientific Publications (INASP), Treasurer of CrossRef, a member of Council of the Publishers Association and the Joint Information Systems Committee (JISC), on the board of the Publishers Licensing Society and on the editorial boards of Scholarly Publishing and Scholarly Communications Report. ####
