Thieme Publishers seeks sales representatives for fast-growing electronic
content sales in the field of organic and medicinal chemistry.

Thieme publishes a prestigious program of online journals, books and
databases for chemical research, including the recently launched online
reference work: Science of Synthesis.

Thieme is expanding its sales force responsible for direct sales and
training to the institutional market in North America.  Our customers
include academia, and the health, pharmaceutical and chemical industries.  
Responsibilities will include customer visits and on-site training,
exhibitions, and general account management.

The ideal candidate will have a BS/MS/PhD in chemistry or a related 
subject and will offer experience in the information industry, either in 
information management and librarianship or in publishing.  Sales 
experience is desirable; more essential is an interest in the 
development of sophisticated information tools, familiarity with the 
issues relating to chemical research information, and the ability to 
and industry.

The positions involve some travel (approximately 25-50%, predominately 
within North America)
