For immediate release October 21, 2004 /Neuro-Oncology/ Improves ISI Impact Factor Neuro-Oncology/--the official journal of the Society for Neuro-Oncology, the Japan Society for Neuro-Oncology, the European Association for Neuro-Oncology, and the World Federation of Neuro-Oncology, a journal published by Duke University Press and endorsed by the Scholarly Publishing and Academic Resources Coalition (SPARC)--is pleased to report that it has earned an official ISI Impact Factor of 3.365 for 2003. After only its second year with Duke University Press, the journal's newly released ranking, up from its 2002 ranking of 2.717, firmly places /Neuro-Oncology/ as the foremost journal in the field of neuro-oncology, with its nearest competitor, Kluwer's /Journal of Neuro-Oncolog/y, garnering an ISI Impact Factor of 1.568. The substantially improved ranking also places /Neuro-Oncology/ 34th among 120 ranked oncology journals. /Neuro-Oncology/ provides high-quality and rapid publication of information in all areas of neuro-oncology.
