Mr Haank will be speaking at the Charleston conference on Friday Nov. 5, a venue well-known for the discussion and questioning of publishers' models. Seaking only personally, and without knowing anyone's true cost figures, I think that narrowing down the range under dispute to between $1500 and $3000 represents a major step towards rationality. It should permit meaningful discussion, and meaningful competition. Dr. David Goodman Associate Professor Palmer School of Library and Information Science Long Island University dgoodman@liu.edu
