California State University Adds CQ Researcher and CQ Weekly to Its Core Resources WASHINGTON, DC, July 28, 2004 - CQ Press, the leading publisher of non-partisan resources on politics, government, and world and current affairs, announced today that the California State University (CSU) system is providing the CQ Researcher and CQ Weekly at no charge to their 23 campuses. CQ Researcher and CQ Weekly were selected for CSU's Core resources and will be funded centrally by the Electronic Core Collection budget. According to Keith Allen, CQ Press National Sales Manager, this is the first-time a statewide university system has purchased these products as part of their core electronic resources. "CQ Press is delighted that both the CQ Researcher and CQ Weekly are now part of the Electronic Core Collection available at all 23 campuses," said Allen. The CQ Researcher, available in print and online versions, offers in-depth, non-biased coverage of today's most important issues. Each report is on a single topic--more than 12,000 words of text and extensive bibliographies. Each weekly issue provides up-to-date information on controversial subjects written by CQ's staff of experienced reporters. The CQ Researcher is also now available in Spanish. CQ Researcher en espaol, the Spanish-language version of The CQ Researcher in English, is designed to meet the needs of America's growing population of Spanish-speaking and bilingual citizens. Each CQ Researcher en espaol report is a unique work, investigated and written by a seasoned journalist, then translated for the Latino reader in the U.S. Building on an 80-year tradition, CQ Researcher en espaol offers America's Latinos newfound access to up-to-date information and analysis of issues shaping our world. CQ Weekly, available in print and online versions, reports on the world's most powerful legislative body completely and accurately every week. The CQ news team-by far the largest on Capitol Hill, with more than 100 reporters, editors, and researchers-covers virtually every act of Congress, delivering nonpartisan news and analysis unavailable anywhere else. Both CQ Researcher and CQ Researcher en espaol are published by CQ Press, a division of Congressional Quarterly Inc. of Washington, D.C. CQ Weekly is published by Congressional Quarterly Inc.
