### Please excuse any cross-postings ### xrefer Adds Content from Merriam-Webster and Thomson Gale Publishing Partners to Bring New Content to Online Reference Service BOSTON, MA, June 24, 2004-xrefer, provider of online ready reference services to libraries worldwide, announced today that two leading reference publishers will contribute key titles to its xreferplus service. The company, which now has over 40 publishing partners, will incorporate reference works from Merriam-Webster and Thomson Gale. xrefer will add a number of best-selling dictionaries and encyclopedias from Merriam-Webster. Thomson Gale, which also offers xreferplus to their North American customers as a component of the Gale Virtual Reference Library, will contribute several titles from such subject areas as law, music and criminal justice. The full text from each title will be integrated into xreferplus, enabling users to browse and search the content within the framework of the entire database to get accurate, contextual results.
