I thought Michael Leach's post on usage data was brilliant. A quibble with one point only: >License agreements would have to be adjusted with publishers to include a >provision for publishing and pooling the statistical data. JE: I don't think you need a license (lawyers, chime in, please). You can't copyright data or facts or ideas. There might be something copyrightable about the presentation of the data, but you can reuse the data without the specific presentation. Joe Esposito
