Media Release, May 24, 2004 For immediate release CLASSICAL MUSIC LIBRARY Signs Agreement with OCLC Western Service Center CLASSICAL MUSIC LIBRARY will now be available to OCLC Western Service Center member libraries via an agreement signed between the Western Service Center and Classical International Inc. The agreement, announced today, will provide member libraries in California, Washington, Oregon, Montana, Idaho, Hawaii, Alaska and the U. S. Territory of Guam with consortia subscription opportunities for CLASSICAL MUSIC LIBRARY, the world�s first classical music listening service for libraries. A division of OCLC Online Computer Library Center, Inc., the OCLC Western Service Center was formed into a single service provider from the consolidation of OCLC Pacific and OCLC/WLN, the OCLC service centers that covered the western United States. "CLASSICAL MUSIC LIBRARY offers a different type of service to our member libraries," said Amy Crawford, Electronic Resource Manager, OCLC Western Service Center. "This classical music listening service will appeal to serious music majors, music appreciation students, and library patrons interested in listening for pleasure." "The relationship with the OCLC Western Service Center is very important to us. We are delighted to offer the member libraries the opportunity to access CLASSICAL MUSIC LIBRARY's extensive and growing resources," said Janice Kuta, Senior Vice President for Global Sales and Marketing.
