Dear Librarians, We have enjoyed reading your comments on the 'Liblicence' discussion list. We are Chris Collett and Veronika Pechlaner, independent equity research analysts at Goldman Sachs, an investment bank. We have designed a short survey to address the issues concerning electronic information usage and pricing. If you are a librarian, we would be grateful if you would complete the survey attached. This survey is independent in that it is not sponsored by any journal provider. Any information gathered from this survey will be publicly available in aggregated form. If you complete the survey we will process your data immediately and send you the results when completed. How we can help you We hope this will give you (and us) an insight into the main views and concerns about electronic information provision, and what changes we will need in the future to deal with these issues. By completing the survey you will therefore see whether other librarians share your views on this subject. Plus if you are one of the first 100 entrants, your name will be put in a draw to win a top-of-the-range digital camera. How you can help us As a purchaser of electronic information your actions will shape the product and pricing decisions of electronic information suppliers. Ideally we would like the brief questionnaire to be filled out by the person who makes purchasing decisions in your library - such as your head librarian. Your help in forwarding this email to the appropriate person would be greatly appreciated. It is easy You can access our survey by clicking on the following link <http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.asp?u=18758321696> If you have any questions regarding the survey or problems while filling it out please do not hesitate to contact us at the contact number provided at the bottom of this email. We look forward to sharing some interesting results with you in the very near future! With very best regards, Chris Collett and Veronika Pechlaner Goldman Sachs International Peterborough Court | 133 Fleet Street | London EC4A 2BB Tel: 020 7 552-9366 | Fax: 020 7552-7279 email: veronika.pechlaner@gs.com
