The agreement, announced last week, will provide SOLINET member libraries in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Puerto Rico and the Caribbean with consortial subscription opportunities for Classical Music Library, the world's first classical music listening service for libraries. SOLINET members include public, academic, corporate and special libraries across the region, and serve consortia in the region as well. SOLINET (The Southeastern Library Network) is a membership network of libraries and other information organizations. It works in collaboration with many partners, from local to international, to provide leadership for cooperative action, improve access to information, and enable members to effectively anticipate and address the region's needs for education, economic development, and improved quality of life.
