AGORA is a programme of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in collaboration with major scientific publishers, Cornell University, Mann Library and the World Health Organization (WHO). In line with Kluwer's goal to further the worldwide dissemination of scientific information, the global partnership provides free or reduced-price online journal access to developing countries. The long-term goal of AGORA is to increase the quality and effectiveness of agricultural research and training in low income food deficit countries. To contribute to achieve this goal, AGORA will provide access over the world-wide web to a research collection of several hundred key journals in agriculture and related biological, environmental and social sciences to the poorest countries in the world. Kluwer is making a significant contribution to the content of the AGORA project, with 93 state-of-the-art Biological and Environmental journals covering a wide range of multidisciplinary scientific research areas including Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Forestry, Soil Sciences, Animal Sciences, Hydrobiology, Biological Microscopy, Food Science and Technology, Environmental Conservation, Environmental Planning and Environmental Fluid Dynamics. The following countries will have access to content published by Kluwer Academic Publishers through AGORA: Afghanistan, Albania, Angola, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bhutan, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cambodia, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Comoros, Congo, C�te d'Ivoire, Democratic Republic of Congo, Djibouti, Eritrea, Gambia, Georgia, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Guyana, Haiti, Kiribati, Kyrgyzstan, Lao People's Democratic Republic, Lesotho, Liberia, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, Mongolia, Mozambique, Myanmar, Nepal, Nicaragua, Niger, Papua New Guinea, Republic of Moldova, Rwanda, Sao Tome and Principe, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Solomon Islands, Somalia, Tajikistan, Timor-Leste, Togo, Tokelau, Turkmenistan, Tuvalu, United Republic of Tanzania, Uzbekistan, Vietnam and Yemen.
