The cost to the author is not stated in this press release (nor on the link given). It can be found on the submission pages of their three excellent journals. In each case it is $800 (or L500, or 800 euros). Although all such experiments are most welcome, I am still considering the implications of a journal some of whose articles are freely accessible and some of whose are not. It will be interesting to observe the proportion.
