THE INDIANA UNIVERSITY LIBRARIES ELECTRONIC RESOURCES MANAGER The Indiana University Libraries are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic librarian for the position of IU Libraries Electronic Resources Manager for the Digital Library of Indiana University. This position will report to the Associate Vice President for Digital Library Development who is also the Ruth Lilly University Dean of University Libraries at Indiana University Bloomington. The incumbent will also work in consultation with the Council of Head Librarians, which includes the directors of libraries on the eight IU campuses. QUALIFICATIONS: Required: ALA-accredited master�s degree in library or information science, or the equivalent combination of education and experience in an academic setting. Demonstrated experience in the acquisition of electronic resources and negotiation of electronic resource licenses and pricing preferably for an academic consortium, knowledge of copyright and licensing issues in a networked environment. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Proven ability to work independently and collegially in a complex, diverse, and rapidly changing environment. Ability to build consensus and find areas of mutual interest among participants. Ability to meet the requirements of a tenure-track appointment. Preferred: Publishing or library experience. SALARY AND BENEFITS: Salary and rank are negotiable and competitive, depending upon qualifications and experience. This is a tenure-track academic appointment that includes eligibility for sabbatical leaves. Benefits include a university health care plan, TIAA/CREF retirement/annuity plan, group life insurance, and liberal vacation and sick leave.
