The 11 August 2003 New Yorker magazine has a cartoon (p. 44) by one of its wonderful cartoonists, Roz Chast. This and all other New Yorker cartoons can be seen and ordered, if desired, from the magazine's site: <http://cartoonbank.com> -- or you can probably still buy this issue at your newsstand. The cartoon in question can be viewed at: <http://www.cartoonbank.com/cartoon_closeup.asp?pf_id=67854&dept_id=1001> It is titled "The Ultimate Contract" and its beleaguered inventor is being asked to sign over "the entire, complete rights to everything you've ever thought, made, or done to Acme Co. in perpetuity and throughout the Unverse...." and so on and on .... Enjoy it, and thanks to one of liblicense-l's subscribers for forwarding the URL.
