We are pleased to announce the formation of Blackwell Publishing's first Library Advisory Board. Drawn from across the international library community, members of the board will be charged with providing input and advice on Blackwell's product development plans, publishing policies, and library sales and marketing strategies of the future. The inaugural meeting of the Board will take place during the International Federation of Library Associations (IFLA) conference in Berlin, Germany, on August 4th 2003. The agenda includes discussions related to short term plans and longer term trends in journal purchasing models, and the place of online resources in the 21st century library. Jill Cousins, Product Manager of Blackwell's online journals service Blackwell Synergy, said "I'm very much looking forward to a detailed and fruitful discussion about some key issues affecting both libraries and publishers.
