This information is consistent with that in an article I read in the Independent in London last month, saying that Elsevier had agreed to give its top management bonuses of 100 million pounds (about $160 million dollars) if the company met certain parameters. Of this sum, 10 million pounds would go to the CEO; the balance would be distributed among 32 top executives. Not a bad salary. Especially compared to academia. Sue Martin [SNIP]
