Kluwer Integrates Online Submission for Journal Content

NEW YORK, NY - October 9, 2002 - Kluwer Academic Publishers (KAP) today
announced the integration of Editorial Manager, the Web-based manuscript
submission and tracking system for STM publishers from Aries Systems
Corporation, into the Kluwer editorial process. Use of Editorial Manager
will simplify submitting manuscripts for journal authors and increase
editorial control and co-ordination, as well as the speed, of the peer
review process.

KAP has already begun using Web submission and tracking for several
journals, such as Journal of Computational Neuroscience, Pharmaceutical
Research, Plant Molecular Biology and Marketing Letters and plans to roll
out 40 journals by the end of the year. By offering its journal authors
the availability of online submissions and peer review, KAP, provider of
the highest quality information products and services to academic and
corporate researchers, is responding to its contributors' requests for a
more efficient means of submitting and tracking manuscripts.
