Electronic Resources Librarian - Temple University Libraries The Electronic Resources Librarian is responsible for the efficient and effective coordination of the ordering, licensing, payment, and access of all electronic resources for the University Libraries. Duties include coordination of: selection and negotiation process with the Collection Development Office, ordering and payment process within the Acquisitions Dept., negotiation of licenses with vendors and University Counsel's Office, and access with vendors and the Systems Office. May also assist in the day-to-day operations within the Acquisitions Dept. and serve as Acting Head in the absence of the Dept. Head. Qualifications: ALA accredited MLS degree required. Knowledge and some experience in the management of library acquisitions operations. Knowledge of the acquisitions and licensing of electronic resources. Excellent qualitative and quantitative analytical skills, oral and written communication. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills. Experience with state of the art online library acquisitions management systems. Knowledge of trends in higher education and libraries. Knowledge of trends in serials, electronic resources and licensing. Compensation: Minimum $35,000. Librarians are periodically subject to administrative and peer review for merit increases based on the following criteria: 1) Outstanding performance as related to the Librarian's position description; 2) Outstanding contributions or service to the profession of librarianship; 3) Outstanding service to the libraries, to academic departments, colleges, school, or the University; 4) Outstanding special achievements.
