Dear Librarian:

We want to take this opportunity to communicate to you some changes which
will occur with Blackwell Publishing titles.

As you may already be aware Blackwell Publishers, Blackwell Science and
Munksgaard have now merged and trade under the new name of Blackwell
Publishing.

As a result of merger, there will be a new journal pricing policy for all
Blackwell Publishing titles.  Journals formerly published by Blackwell
Science did not offer any online access with a standard print
subscription. Journals formerly published by Blackwell Publishers and
Munksgaard offered a limited choice of print or online format.

The new pricing structure will be introduced for 2003 subscriptions.  It
will provide three options:

1.  Standard - print plus basic online access.  All print subscribers will
be offered free online access to issues from the current and previous year
(i.e. 2003 and 2002).  The license will not include access to remote users
and all access rights would cease if the print subscription were
cancelled.  We will set-up customers with this access on request.

2.  Premium - print plus premium online access (110%).  Premium online
access will include full access to the current year and to all available
back issues.  The license will include access for remote users, and access
rights will be ongoing for as long as Blackwell Publishing publish the
title. The price for print plus premium online access will be 110% of the
standard subscription price.

3.  Online only - premium online access (90%).  Premium online access will
include full access to the current year and to all available back issues.  
The license will include remote users, and access rights will be ongoing
for as long as Blackwell Publishing publish the title.  The price for
online-only access will be 90% of the standard subscription price.

All percentages exclude VAT and other local taxes, which are applicable at
the appropriate rate.

EBSCO's title file will be updated to include all available options.
Please contact your Customer Service Representative if you would like to
change the option you are currently receiving.
