Phil Bond, Under Secretary of Commerce for Technology and Chief of Staff to Secretary Don Evans, invites you to the next in a series of monthly media roundtables on technology issues. The briefing will be ON THE RECORD. TA officials will: * preview the July 17 Digital Content and Rights Management roundtable to be held at the Commerce Department with leading figures from the digital content, technology and consumer areas; * announce the September 19 Homeland Security Technology Expo in Washington, D.C.; * announce the launch of a biotechnology industry survey; and * reiterate the importance of the President's proposals regarding corporate responsibility to the tech industry. In addition to Phil Bond, other media roundtable participants will include Deputy Under Secretary Ben Wu, Assistant Secretary for Technology Policy Bruce Mehlman, and Deputy Assistant Secretary Chris Israel.
