REFERENCE /ELECTRONIC SERVICES LIBRARIAN The Mary Couts Burnett Library of Texas Christian University is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic librarian to manage electronic resources in a medium sized academic library. The Electronic Services Librarian is responsible for acquisition and maintenance of electronic databases, including review and negotiation of license agreements, and for general reference at the public service desk (some nights and weekends). The successful candidate will collaborate with faculty, the Head of Reference and Online Services, and other reference librarians to evaluate databases in support of curricular needs. The Electronic Services Librarian will participate in the implementation of an Information Commons planned for TCU. All reference librarians have collection development responsibilities and are eligible to serve on library and university committees. Requirements: MLS from an ALA accredited library school; excellent written and oral communications skills; excellent interpersonal skills; ability to organize and implement programs. Desired experience: previous work experience in academic libraries, preferably in a public service department, experience with CD ROM and WWW applications, and knowledge of HTML. Excellent benefits.
