JOB OPENING ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR, COPYRIGHT/LICENSING OFFICE Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required with advanced degree preferred, and a strong background in one or more of the following: business management, law, library science, fine arts, communications or publishing; or a combination of 8-12 years education and related experience. Strong negotiation skills and excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills required. Must have excellent research skills in searching for publishing information, on-line databases, and diverse reference tools. Must have a sound understanding of both the operations and current acquisition trends in the university/library/distant education world, especially with respect to electronic publishing, network databases, and other digital delivery systems. Responsibilities: Assist in preparing Copyright policies, guidelines and practices. Provide University/CES Copyright Education including maintaining Copyright Management Office Web Site. Responsible for management of copyright/licensing and related information including specific database applications. Responsible for processing copyright registrations and other tasks related to copyright protection.
