I have had success in contacting Eileen Koup and Phyllis Spillane at Wiley
Interscience. Email for Eileen is ekoup@wiley.com and Phyllis at
Phyllis.Spillane@wiley.com. Phyllis helped us remove the State of New
York venue clause as Texas also requires that a site license be silent on
venue or agree to the State of Texas.

I hope this helps.

I am sympathetic with the problems in registering that Chuck identifies
but suggest that he understates the problem by half.

In viewing the "click" license, I was reluctant to commit the state of
Ohio to the jurisdiction of New York courts and sent an e-mail message to
that effect, requesting what is usually a pro forma change, to the address
provided by Wiley in the middle of last week. With no word from Wiley, I
tried phoning at the beginning of this week only to find that Wiley staff
seemed unfamiliar with the electronic version of the encyclopedia. The
first person who answered the phone referred me to the "books" section but
that person was unaware of the electronic edition. She passed me around
the company until I was finally told to address the problem to Tech
Support and transferred me there. After 45 minutes on hold, I accepted
the suggestion to leave a phone message (with the assurance that Tech
Support would return the call). Nothing since.

At this rate, we'll need a staff member just to spend his/her days trying
to contact Wiley. Lest this sound like an attack on a single publisher, I
have encountered similar responsiveness from Swets & Zeitlinger (for
e-journal access) that is now stretching into months to try to resolve.
