MCB University Press and CHEST announce long-term partnership to deliver
electronic access to the fulltext of more than 100 MCB journals via
Emerald Intelligence + Fulltext

MCB University Press (publisher of the Emerald Intelligence + Fulltext
Electronic Management database) and CHEST have reached agreement for the
provision of Emerald Intelligence + Fulltext to eligible institutions for
a fixed five year period starting on 1st January 1999. Institutions can
decide to join at any time during the term of the agreement and will be

For a fixed annual payment of =A38,995 for Higher Education institutions or
=A31,995 for Further Education institutions, electronic access will be
provided to more than 100 MCB journals that make up Emerald Intelligence +
Fulltext both on-line and as a CD-ROM database until 31st December 2003.
CHEST and MCB University Press are delighted to have negotiated this
excellent agreement, which is open to Higher and Further Education in the
United Kingdom, the Republic of Ireland and the Netherlands.

Nigel Lodge, Director of CHEST, said "This is one of four products from
MCB for which CHEST has negotiated terms which are fixed for five years.
The products enable the academic community to have electronic access to an
additional wealth of specialist fulltext article and abstract information
in a number of subject areas. Institutions will be able to provide access
to content with full search capability at the desktop."

Mathew Wills, Emerald Brand Manager, said "This is a very significant
agreement. Emerald Intelligence + Fulltext delivers comprehensive online
and CD-ROM access to every article published since 1994 in more than 100
journals from the UK's leading academic management publisher. The
combination of MCB University Press's high quality journal content and
CHEST's ability to deliver excellent technical solutions and support,
long-term price stability and organisation-wide access will give the
Higher and Further Education Community in the UK, Ireland and the
Netherlands valuable new ways to access management content."

Emerald Intelligence + Fulltext delivers desktop access to a world leading
library of management research journals. The service provides instant
access to more than 20,000 management articles from more than 100 journals
