Boston Globe Article Regarding Pending Copyright Legislation

Subject: Boston Globe Article Regarding Pending Copyright Legislation

A very well written article that utilizes a quote from an American
Library Association employee and also provides some useful observations
regarding the impact in the next century of the two proposed copyright
related bills now before Congress was published in the Boston Globe by
Simson L. Garfield. The article was also reposted to two listservs,
RISKS-FORUM and CNI-COPYRIGHT. The article can also be found on the WWW
at URL:
http://simson.vineland.net/clips/98.Globe.05-07.Read_them_and_weep.htm

For those of you who prefer the feel of fresh newsprint or
microfilm in your hands, the article was published in the Boston Globe on
May 7, 1998. Terry Carroll who posted the article to CNI-COPYRIGHT
suggests that you hurry and read the article while it is still legal to do
so.

Sincerely,
David Dillard
