Automatic renewal clause in licenses

Is there a list of states for which the automatic renewal clause won't
hold up in court?  Or suggestions for where should I go about researching
this question?  (e.g.  A written notification of cancellation is required
60 days prior to the expiration date to prevent this contract from
automatically renew for an additional year.) 

Or do you know of individual states where this is true?

Are there other circumstances under which automatic renewal is not
legal or acceptable?
