Collection Development Librarians of Academic Libraries
Saturday, June 28, 2-4 pm

Topic: The increasing interest in cooperative collection development and
consortia spurred by the need to make better use of our resources in an
era of shrinking funds and increasing demands. 

Speakers: Three librarians will present various cooperative collection
development models for discussion. Christian Filstrup, Associate Director
for Collection Development, Organization, and Preservation at North
Carolina State University will talk about the long-term cooperative
arrangements that exist among the Research Triangle libraries. Barbara
Galik, Assistant University Librarian for Information and Research
Services at Miami University, will discuss the OhioLink project and
demonstrate its catalog. Ann Okerson, Associate Librarian at Yale
University, will then describe the newly developing NorthEast Research
Libraries consortium. Information on location will be available on the
COLLDEV-L listserv before annual or in the conference program.  Bonnie
