Royal Society Publishing announcement

****Apologies for Cross Posting****

Royal Society Publishing saw the launch of its new online journal
delivery platform hosted by HighWire Press and a new domain
http://royalsocietypublishing.org, replacing the site on
MetaPress in February 2009. We automatically activated accounts
but were wondering whether Libraries would find it useful if we
set up an instructional video for students/researchers that would
help them more easily navigate around the site. The aim is to
assist Librarians and end users (perhaps with recorded actions
and commentary) with a permanently available guide to our
feature-rich site. If you think this would be useful or have any
other ideas about making Highwire easier to use for you and your
end users please let me know.

Highest ever Impact Factors achieved by Royal Society journals

We are pleased to announce increases in Impact Factor for every
Royal Society journal, following the publication of the 2008
Journal Citation Reports
<http://science.thomsonreuters.com/training/jcr/> on 19 June
2009. These latest Impact Factors
<http://thomsonreuters.com/products_services/science/free/essays/impact_factor/>
represent the highest figures ever achieved by our journals and
are the result of continuously tightening editorial standards
against a background of strong increases in submissions year on
year.
