New guidance and insight from the UKSG: Latest chapters of The E-Resources Management Handbook

Hi everyone,

I thought you might be interested in some new chapters that we've
recently added to The E-Resources Management Handbook, the UKSG's
open access guide to all sorts of aspects of scholarly
information management.

There are two new guidance chapters, on impact factors (by Jo
Cross of Taylor & Francis) and copyright in the digital age (by
Louise Cole of Kingston University).

In addition to these, we've branched out from the usual format to
include interviews with some luminaries from the information
sector - Stephen Abram (SirsiDynix), Martin Marlow (Ingram
Digital), Peter McCracken (Serials Solutions), Jim Mouw
(University of Chicago) and Alison Mudditt (SAGE). Their views on
what will replace Google and what big challenges lie ahead are an
enlightening summary of where we are now, and we're hoping that
these will be a kind of benchmark to look back at in a few years'
time and assess how our community has developed in the interim.

The full announcement is online at:

All 21 chapters of The E-Resources Management Handbook are freely
accessible and cover topics including licensing, statistics,
archiving, resource discovery, marketing and ERM systems. For

Best wishes,
