Position Announcement: Information Science Managing Editor

MANAGING EDITOR

Taylor & Francis is currently seeking a qualified Managing Editor 
for the Information and Library Science journals program within 
Routledge's US Social Science & Humanities (SSH) Division.

Under the supervision of the Publisher, and in coordination with 
an Acquisitions Editor, the Managing Editor will be responsible 
for managing all aspects of an assigned list of journals in 
Information and Library Science to ensure high-quality, timely 
publication.  The Managing Editor will serve as primary contact 
for external editors and affiliated societies as well as internal 
departments. Responsibilities of the position also include 
maintaining journal contracts and budgets. Some travel is also 
required. The ideal candidate should have previous publishing 
experience as well as an understanding of the business side of 
publishing. Other skills required include strong organizational 
skills, the ability to manage multiple projects, the ability to 
work independently and as part of a team, solid communications 
skills (written and verbal), and knowledge of Microsoft Word and 
Excel; working knowledge of Microsoft Access is a plus. This is 
not a writing or copyediting position.
