FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ResearchNow Database from The Berkeley Electronic Press Among
Library Journal's Best Reference Materials

BERKELEY, CA, APRIL 24, 2008 - The Berkeley Electronic Press is
pleased to announce that its innovative ResearchNow product has
been named to the "Best Reference" list in the current issue of
the Library Journal. The article says of ResearchNow, "This
scholarly database just may be the face of the future in online
publishing."

ResearchNow - available at <http://researchnow.bepress.com/> - is
a database of scholarly information drawing its content from
several primary sources:

- the roster of peer-reviewed, Berkeley Electronic Press journals

- all working papers, preprints and other "grey literature"
content from institutional repositories hosted by bepress that
have opted for inclusion, as well as subject-matter repository
materials from the bepress Legal Repository and COBRA: Collection
of Biostatistics Research Archive.

Access is available in two versions. ResearchNow Open Access
provides quasi-open access to the roster of peer-reviewed,
Berkeley Electronic Press journals, as well as completely
unrestricted access to working papers, preprints and other "grey
literature" from participating institutional and subject-matter
repositories. ResearchNow Open Access is free to all readers.
ResearchNow Full Access provides completely unrestricted access
to the roster of peer-reviewed, Berkeley Electronic Press
journals, as well as all new journals launched during the
subscription period at no additional charge. Also included is
completely unrestricted access to working papers, preprints and
other "grey literature" from participating institutional and
subject-matter repositories. The ResearchNow Full Access option
also includes an XML gateway to expose indexed content to
federated search engines. ResearchNow Full Access requires a
subscription.

"We are honored to be recognized by the Library Journal in this
manner," said Greg Tananbaum, President of The Berkeley
Electronic Press. "Like our five star rating for pricing from
The Charleston Advisor, this validates ResearchNow as an
important, accessible content source."

More than 150 institutions worldwide have subscribed to ResearchNow
Full Access since its launch in 2005. Please contact
info@bepress.com for more details.
