PRESS RELEASE

Swets and Ex Libris collaboration on EDI Serial Claiming is a success

Swets Information Services and the Ex Libris(tm) Group have
announced today that the EDI serial claiming trials they have
been conducting with University College London have been
successfully completed. The result of this collaboration has
vastly accelerated the processing of claims for University
College London. Libraries using the ALEPH(r) integrated library
system are now able to automatically transmit claims to Swets
using the EDIFACT standard.

"This is yet another example of the benefit brought by closer
integration of the library management system with external
systems and solutions. I'm confident that following the success
at UCL, other customers will follow suit by extending the range
of EDI services they currently use. We look forward to working
with Swets on other projects," commented Julie Booth, Managing
Director of Ex Libris (UK) Ltd.

"We are delighted that this collaboration has been a success. Our
experience with University College London has given us the
opportunity to further develop our collaborative partnership with
Ex Libris and engage with customers on process improvement
through integration," noted Bob Visser, Chief Information Officer
at Swets Information Services. "We definitely consider this
partnership as part of Swets' overall drive to streamline the
serials management process and speed up the response time for
customers."
