Re: 3rd Nordic Conference on Scholarly Communication



As I complained last time on this list that this conference was discussing
scholarly communication without any of the speakers being publishers. I
want to note to the list that one very senior publisher is among the
speakers. I am pleased about that.

However I do notice that no librarians are among those speaking. I do
think librarians are important. Librarians and Publishers or Publishers
and Librarians are the main intermediaries between authors and readers.
Consultants are not quite so significant.
