Emerald Acquires Six Henry Stewart Titles
Finance, Property and General Management Portfolios Expanded

UNITED KINGDOM, August 1, 2005 -- Emerald Group Publishing Limited
announces the acquisition of six titles from business, legal and science
publisher Henry Stewart Publications.  Journal of Financial Regulation and
Compliance, Journal of Money Laundering Control, Journal of Financial
Crime, Journal of Corporate Real Estate, Journal of Facilities Management,
and Journal of Communication Management were all acquired in April 2005.
All will be available in both print and electronic formats from Emerald.

"We are delighted to have acquired six high quality titles from Henry

"These new titles will complement our 110+ management journals and further
cement our reputation as the world's leading management journal
publisher."

The Henry Stewart acquisitions bolster Emerald coverage in the following
areas:

Accounting, Finance and Legal
Emerald's accounting, finance and legal portfolio now numbers seven
titles.

Journal of Financial Regulation and Compliance (JFRC) is aimed at
practitioners who wish to review major SRO rule updates, case law and
regulatory bodies' discussion papers, and covers topics including Basel I,
II and III, regulation of Internet Banking, capital adequacy and takeover
regulation. The quarterly journal aims to be the leading authoritative
journal on financial regulation and compliance and is edited by Dr Oonagh
McDonald CBE, a former FSA Board Member and now a research and management
consultant. Recent contributions include articles and case studies from
the likes of the FSA, PriceWaterhouse Coopers and Barclays Bank.
Subscribers come from corporate, public and academic institutions across
the world.

Journal of Money Laundering Control (JMLC) is edited by Professor Barry AK
Rider, executive director of the Centre for International Documentation on
Organized and Economic Crime, Honorary Senior Research Fellow and former
Director of the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies, Fellow Commoner of
Jesus College, Cambridge and a barrister. The quarterly publication allows
subscribers to stay in touch with international developments in the area
of money laundering control and technological changes, as well as to gain
practical guidance to help understand the increasing sophistication of the
criminal element. Organizations including the London School of Economics
and Political Science, Australia's Monash University and the Ministry of

keep abreast of the latest law, regulation and best practice in the
prevention, detection and prosecution of financial crime and tracing and
recovering missing assets. It covers issues including policing,
prosecuting and trying serious frauds and securities regulation and
enforcement with articles from leading organizations including US
Department of Justice, Interpol and the Australian Institute of
Criminology.

Property and Real Estate Emerald's property and real estate portfolio now
has seven titles.

Journal of Corporate Real Estate is designed for practitioners who wish to
gain practical advice on subjects such as leases, integrated
infrastructure management, and strategic real estate partnerships. The
quarterly journal's editorial board has secured copy from luminaries
including Microsoft, Morgan Stanley Dean Witter and Delft University of
Technology.  Subject areas range from flexibility and agility in corporate
real estate to maximizing shareholder value and portfolio management to
help corporate real estate executives develop strategies to maximize real
estate's contribution to business objectives and the bottom line. Journal
of Facilities Management lets managers discover the latest thinking on
