Title: Regional Sales Manager

Reports to: Sr. Director of Sales � Eastern Region

Based in Palo Alto, CA, ebrary is a six-year-old company that provides
technology solutions and information services to the library and
publishing markets. Our mission is to become the global standard for
secure distribution, acquisition, and management of valuable authoritative
documents over computer networks.

We have pioneered the Dynamic Content Platform (DCP), a hosted information
delivery service that combines patent-pending software with a growing
selection of more than 60,000 titles from more than 200 leading academic,
STM, and professional publishers. We currently have more than 650 library
customers throughout the world.

We are currently seeking an aggressive, hands-on outside sales
representative in the Eastern region who meets the criteria outlined
below.

This position is based out of a home office and is responsible for the
overall and day to day management of the company�s product sales in the
Mid-Atlantic and Southeast region of the Eastern United States, which
currently includes OH,WV, DC, TN, NC, SC, DE, MD, VA, GA, FL, LA. This
position is responsible for selling the company�s products and
maintaining customer relations and relations with resellers, consortia,
and regional networks throughout the region.

This position is responsible for acquiring new business and supporting
renewal business efforts to meet this position�s individual quota, in
the region, including working with resellers and existing customers. This
position also participates in a team goal and contributes to the success
of the entire Eastern Sales Team.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following:

a. Plans, organizes, implements sales programs for the region
b. Plans and is responsible for achieving sales objectives in the region
c. Communicating with customers, including face-to-face meetings, being
in the marketplace, using the phone, and WebEx
d. Conducts a minimum of 20 face to face customer visits per month
e. Developing and executing consortia strategy for the region
f. Closing new and renewal business
g. Develop new business within an assigned region
h. Maintain existing customer base in tandem with Inside Sales Manager
i. Participation in regional and national trade shows, conferences and
sales meetings
j. Maintains and updates customer relationship management database on a
daily basis and is responsible for regional pipeline management.

Minimum Requirements for Consideration:

a. Bachelors degree
b. 3-5 years of outside sales experience
c. Excellent presentation, selling and communication skills
d. Knowledge of the information and technology industry
e. Knowledge and experience with using customer relationship management software
