May issue of the SPARC Open Access Newsletter

* Announcement (cross-posted) *

I just mailed the May issue of the SPARC Open Access Newsletter. In
addition to the usual round-up of news from the past month, it takes a
close look at two publisher worries about self-archiving --that it will
erase their brand and that it will create copies whose download counts
they can no longer monitor. I discuss a good solution to the first and a
bad solution to the second.
