BioOne Joins LOCKSS Program

BioOne and the LOCKSS Program are pleased to announce that on November 29,
2004, the first set of titles in the BioOne collection were released to
the LOCKSS system. Together with the participating libraries in the
LOCKSS Program, BioOne is working to ensure that the important literature
in the BioOne aggregation will be preserved and accessible for future
generations to use and reference.

Over the next several months, additional BioOne content will be released
to the LOCKSS Program in groups of 10-20 titles. The entire BioOne
collection should be available to the Program within the next year.
BioOne and its 56 participating publishers join the more than 80 libraries
and 50 publishers from around the world who participate in the LOCKSS
Program.

The LOCKSS Program is working to provide persistent access to digital
literature. Further information can be found at: http://www.lockss.org or
