Hindawi expands its support of open access

Hindawi expands its support of open access

"Hindawi Publishing Corporation" announced today that its "Journal of
Biomedicine and Biotechnology" (JBB) is to move to a full "Open Access"  
publishing model effective immediately. JBB will adopt a mandatory open
access model whereby authors will be required to pay an article processing
charge of $495 for any article published in JBB. The journal will continue
to have both an online (which is now freely available with no subscription
or registration barriers) and print editions. The journal web site is

The "Journal of Biomedicine and Biotechnology" was established in 2001 and
its articles are currently reviewed/indexed in BIOSIS, Biotechnology
Citation Index, CAB ABSTRACTS, CAB HEALTH, Chemical Abstracts (CAS),
Elsevier BIOBASE (Current Awareness in Biological Sciences), EMBASE (the
Excerpta Medica database), e-psyche, INSPEC, ISI Alerting Services,
PubMed, and Science Citation Index Expanded.
