Licensing Coordinator
Salary range: $43,600 to $78,400

The California Digital Library (CDL) is a highly innovative environment
which is designed to enable the University of California libraries to
continue to meet the informational needs of UC faculty and students in the

Responsibilities

Under general oversight by the Director for Business Development, review
license agreements and contracts for digital content, coordinate digital
licensing area; manage execution process with licensors; monitor vendor
performance and service quality; document processes for licensing
management; assist with developing and managing relationships with the
CDL's business partners; and perform cost analyses of consortial purchases
of digital content.

Qualifications

MLIS or equivalent and relevant experience either in libraries or in the
online publishing industry.  Working knowledge of the methods and
practices surrounding contracts and licenses for electronic information.
Ability to develop and maintain productive business relationships with
database developers, aggregators, publishers and other vendors.  
Excellent organizational and analytical skills, including experience in
cost/benefit analysis. Propensity for detail with capacity to think
strategically.  Ability to function collaboratively and independently in a
service-oriented team environment.  Flexibility in adapting to change.
