*  THE ANTITRUST DIVISION of the U.S. Department of Justice on
   Wednesday approved a giant three-way publishing deal that
   will result in the sale of Harcourt General to Reed Elsevier
   and the Thomson Corporation. As a condition of the sale,
   Thomson agreed to divest itself of college-textbook lines in
   several subjects, and at least some of its computer-based
   testing business.
