RE: get your digital library! $13.95

I remember this from years ago... We had it as a library resource pre-Web.
Unless they've done some serious updating and redesign it's public domain,
DOS, and in a particularly unreadable format. If this is spam (which it
looks like) I wouldn't touch it with a ten-foot drawer rod. In fact, I
wouldn't touch it period, without better information.

Dear NBCi/XOOM.com Member,

How would you like to add 5,000 works to your home library?

NBCi/XOOM.com is pleased to bring you 5,000 of the greatest literary works
ever created -- by authors such as William Shakespeare, Charles Dickens,
William Faulkner and Edgar Allen Poe.

Of course, it would cost you $100,000 or more to assemble a collection
this big. And you'd probably have to build an extra room for your house to
fit them all!

Now there's a better way. A way to own each and every one of these great
works, for about what you'd expect to pay for a *single* softcover book!
All you need is The Library of the Future on CD-ROM.

literature -- novels, poems, plays, histories, biographies, religious
documents, children's classics, and more.

You get "Billy Budd" by Herman Melville. "The Road Not Taken" and other
classic poems by Robert Frost. The complete works of William Shakespeare.
"The Hound of the Baskervilles" and all the other Sherlock Holmes stories
by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. And literally *thousands* more! You even get
the complete King James Version of the Bible, The Koran, The Book of
Mormon and dozens of other important religious documents.

These are not stripped-down "abridged" versions or chopped-up
"highlights." You get *every word* of the original text, exactly as the
author intended. You'll also enjoy listening to more than an hour of audio
readings of selected works, performed by professional actors.

The Library of the Future is more than just a collection of great books.
It's also an incredibly powerful tool for reference and research. You
can...

   * Quickly search the entire library by title, author, subject,
category, word, phrase, date, century, era or country.

   * Copy text and paste it into your word-processing document.

   * Print the text shown on one or more screens... or the entire work,
     if you wish.

   * Mark any point in any book... and even type in your comments for
future reference... with the Bookmark and Notepad features.

   * Read brief descriptions of the author and title that accompany
     each book.
