Re: A question of licences and Alumni members

Dear Colleagues

While I have never gone looking for alumni access to any of our subscribed
services, I have come across standard licenses which explicitly allow
alumni access as long as it is coming via the campus network. For example,
the MUSE license states:

"This agreement grants access to the Project Muse database for
educational, research, and personal use by the faculty, staff, students,
alumni and library patrons utilizing the Subscriber's contiguous campus
network. Distance learners, alumni, and other off-campus affiliates may
access Project Muse if their Internet access is through the campus
network. "
